This variety cannot be shipped to the states of AK, AZ, CA, CO, HI, ID, KS, LA, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, NV, OK, OR, SD, TX, UT, WA or WY due to Japanese Beetle Quarantine Restrictions.
This premium variety is very rare. We are limiting customers to 4 plants so that as many customers as possible get the opportunity to grow this terrific variety. We spent years trying to find it. Seeds are not available commercially in the U.S. as far as we know.
The plants are similar to other white fruiting varieties for vigor. The plants tend to be productive both in number of fruit and weight of fruit per plant. We have tested the variety in our production trials and the results are available in the report we sell in the publications category.
And, yes, the flavor of the fruit does have a hint of pineapple when fully ripe. We really like the fruit from this variety. A couple of years ago when we were still growing fruit commercially we grew this variety exclusively as our white variety due to its flavor and productivity. It will be a welcome addition to your alpine strawberry garden.
