This is the variety used to map the genetic geome of the strawberry a couple of years ago.
Hawaii 4 is a very interesting variety. The plant is day neutral ever bearing and produces white fruit that is much larger than the wild runnering types found in the woods. The most interesting feature is that the plant produces runners and can be propagated by seed or vegetativly by rooting the runners. The white color of the fruit tends to fool the birds which makes it an excellent choice for the home gardener.
